DESCRIPTION:Elly Vadseth NO/USA is an interdisciplinary artist working with time based media\, multi channel installation\, posthuman choreography\, ephemeral and permanent art in public space. Her durational work and research circulate around sense-making and interspecies way-finding in unstable\, shifting land and water ecologies. She holds a transmedial MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (2018). Currently she is based between Oslo and Trondheim\, where she is undertaking a PHD in artistic research at the National University of Science and Technology. As part of her PHD she is part of the interdiciplanary research group Visualising The Deep Sea In the age of climate change.\n\nHer work has been presented internationally in exhibitions\, performances\, screenings\, talks\, publications\, large-scale outdoor and indoor public works. Recently at Trøndelag Center for Samtidskunst\, F15/ Tendencies Biennale for contemporary craft\, Fulcrum Festival (LA)\, the National Museum of Science and technology (NO)\, Henie Onstad contemporary art center (NO)\, The Museum of Fine Arts (USA) and Mountain time arts (USA). In 2024 her work and research was published in the book Interspecies Performance edited by Florence Fitzgerald and Laura Cull.\n\n---\n\nOslo Open is an independent artist-run non-profit organization that was established in the year 2000 by artists and a number of local and national art institutions. The main task of Oslo Open is organizing an annual event where artists from the fields of visual art and contemporary craft open the doors to their studios for one weekend in April.\n\n
